C: Chicago
Tribune. Not only are the 23^rd edition of Nike’s venerable Air
Jordans made entirely out of Ed Begley Jr.-friendly sustainable
materials, but they might be the last in the series. Crap. My parents STILL
haven’t bought me that pair of Air Jordan IVs,
yet.
PF: Empty
the Bench. A look at some of the league’s more-unheralded players, and
Chris Kaman.
SF: Hardwood
Paroxysm. A halftime show that reminds of when you’d spend a whole night in
your basement finishing a season of Super Tecmo Bowl, only to be rewarded with
some sub-anime renderings of little teddy bears in football helmets flying
around in bi-planes. Or was that just me?
SG: My Utah

PG: Detroit
Bad Boys. Matt Watson, A. Sherrod Blakely, and Joe Dumars breaking down the
first 100 days of Detroit’s
season. Wait, wait wait: the season started on October 30th, that’s two days in October, 61 combined in December and November, nine so far this month … 100? What the hell? Thanks to Henry from TrueHoop for pointing out that I can’t trust anyone to do my math for me from now on.
6^th: The
Globe and Mail. Michael Grange predicts a Raptors win over the 76ers
tonight. PERISH THE THOUGHT! Actually, his reasoning goes well beyond the
obvious, please

7^th: TrueHoop.
Todd Gallagher works through pogo stick James White and an uninterested Orlando
Magic front office on his way toward determining whether or not certain talents
can touch the top of the backboard.
8^th: Akron
Beacon-Journal. "[Agent] Dan Fegan
was in the building tonight for the first time this season. Seems like
everybody made nice and the Cavs gave him good seats. The beginning of kinder
relations? Hmm, we’ll see."
9^th: CelticsBlog.
Already (rightfully) worrying whether or not superassistant Tom Thibodeau will
be back next season. The coach is credited for moving his (admittedly,
fabulously-talented defensive) Celtic parts into what is (by far) the best defense
in the NBA. According
to the Boston Herald, TT wanted a one-year deal to join the C’s this season,
but he’s never struck us as a head-coaching type. That’s likely to change. Doc Rivers?
Take notes now. 
10^th: The
Salt Lake Tribune. If the 2005 NBA Draft were re-held, Steve Luhm would
STILL take Danny Granger, Raymond Felton, and Martell Webster over David Lee
(and, nearly as egregiously, Monta Ellis). We’ll let you comment on that one.
