Boylan’s turn to run the Bulls

December 28th, 2007 · No Comments

Here’s a shot of the Chicago Bulls trying to look interested
in what interim-interim assistant coach Pete Myers was diagramming in the
team’s loss to the Spurs on Wednesday night:

Jim Boylan was
named coach of the Bulls for the rest of the season
, he’s hoping to improve
on Scott Skiles’ 9-16 turn to start the season, and a Myers-led run that didn’t
have a chance to begin with, and somehow still ended
up even worse
than it should have been.

In a radio interview
on Wednesday, Bulls GM John Paxson specifically mentioned Tyrus Thomas and
Thabo Sefalosha as two players who need to get more minutes if the Bulls are
going to survive this year and the next. We’d throw Joakim Noah and Aaron Gray
into that mix, and hope that Boylan has the bojangles to tell Ben Wallace (41
of 125 from the floor this year, 32.5 percent shooting; five rebounds in 34
minutes last night) to sit his butt down.
